Another Professor Airs Bias
May 26, 2006In an opinion piece in the Baptist Standard, Roger Olson, professor of theology at Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary lets loose another example of Anti-Calvinist bias toward Southern Baptist Calvinists.
His most startling misconception? Here it is - brace yourselves. "Calvinism is belief in divine determinism; God is the all-determining reality who sovereignly plans and controls all events, including the free choices of humans."
In other words Dr. Olson believes that Calvinistic theology makes God the author of sin originally and for all time. Read the article for yourself here. It's not as bad as some but makes one wonder if the future for graduates of Baylor's seminary includes a predisposition toward Open Theism?
